We are located in the Northeast region of
Thailand, bordering Laos, which is known as Isaan. It is the one

had little affect on the region.
Sansuk Guest House is in the village
of Baan Nathontung a typical northeastern village in the heart
of rural Isaan. where
most people farm rice,
grow
sweet corn and keep a few cows and buffalos well as living
of the land
when and where they can.Our Bungalows are surrounded by beautiful gardens.

garden. As we accommodate a maximum of six people, you are always assured

local province, Nakhon Phanom market where you can see how local
people still sell their wares from
market stalls, with a myriad of different produce from
exotic fruit and fish, sea food,
insets of all kinds it is definitely worth
a visit, Be it rice planting/noodle making or fishing, there's always something to see and do.
We are also within
day-trip distance of
Mukdahan which has a good sized national park and a market
that runs along the side of the Mekong River, as well as
a range of
smaller,
lesser known places of interest. Alternatively, you
can
just take
a few
days'
break and sit on the your own verandah and watch the world
go by. The big plus is that your accommodation is kept
well within Western
standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
On
arrival at Nakhon Phanom airport or bus Station you will be transferred
to your accommodation
by air conditioned
car or mini bus, where you will be welcomed by our family. On
your first day after an early breakfast there
will be a formal ceremony
welcoming you to our village this takes palace in accordance with
local tradition, a Buddhist priest will bless your stay, you will
have pieces of white string tied to your wrists for good luck by
our family and friends, these come hung on a christmas tree looking
thing called in thai Paa kwan, Although
this is not compulsory who can say no to good luck.
Below the newly built bridge at Mukdahan open in September 2006 ideal if you need to make a visa run, or just a few days somewhere with a difference it,s only about one and a half hours drive from Nathontung.
